Mother's day

Mother's day was a totally fun day this year. My sisters and I decide to cook for our beloved mama, a 3-course meal for lunch, ensalada + spicy chicken aglio olio spaghetti + pavlova. Sorry, I only have a picture of the pavlova. Everyone is so excited to eat my 1st attempt meals as the master chef at home. Trying to be slightly domestic on a special occasion. Well, no harm was done. Phew.... so glad all went well.


A full day at home on a weekend is totally not in my agenda except something extraordinary happen to me like i knocked my head somewhere. Haha... so after all the hard work in the kitchen and attempt to make my mum feel slightly happy because she don't have to cook for us last Sunday, I went to Aida's place to meet up with the girls. Original plan was to spend a day as a painter at Aida's and make over her old bed. Will tell you more later when the plan materialized. These has inspired Nadia and I to be a make-over painter. Maybe this is something which we are good at. Who knows....

Since I was trying to be a good daughter that day... I decided to cook first for my mum. Thinking I can leave by noon. Sadly to say... it took me longer. We ate lunch at 1.30noon. So I can only leave close to 3pm. Kind of too late to start working on our make over project. Hmmm... next time then. Instead, Aida took us to visit her second home, SSF in Puchong. Looking all excited to be a painter. Haha....

Our encounter with this cute message / note just make the day full of laughter...





Chilling at Aida's with a cup of coffee + brownies with ice-cream after tired laughing at all sorts of jokes and make fun of ourselves. Thanks SSF... we really feel at home in your cozy shop. Just one big recommendation. In the future, please consider to have a nice cozy cafe for higher customer satisfaction.

When everyone are enjoying long weekend in Kuala Lumpur, I had to get up early on a Sunday. But no complain cause I am flying to the city of Lion, Singapore. Well, i'm in Singapore for a week for work. It is going to be a busy week... and yet i am taking a few minutes... to post my updates. Had my lunch at PS Cafe, Palais @ Orchard Road . The ambiance is so welcoming and I can picture myself enjoying my cuppa coffee and the dessert. I was so full from my lunch and no space for dessert this time. Maybe I will make another trip before going back to KL. I love the interior so much, especially the tiles! I will post more pics next time. I only have pics from my BB now. I have a big mission this time..... to look for a handmade carpet from uncle shop (not my uncle ok!) at Arab St. This shop has all the lovely items from India. Nadia's fav item is the silk scarves. A new beginning

Every December, I will look back at my new year’s resolution. I didn’t manage to achieve all 2011 resolutions but at least more than half from the list. Being an optimistic person, I am thinking to shorten the list for this year. But does it really matter if you achieve 10% or 100% of your goals by December 2012? To me, what matter the most is the journey. Don’t worry if you keep on repeating the same resolution for 5 years down the road. Most importantly, how those goals actually transformed you to be a better person. Today, while watching 500 days of summer, I was actually thinking how to spice up my life… Not that I’m not happy with it but my brain just don’t know how to rest. As usual, I ask my best friend, what should I do to give some new colors in my life? She suggested for me to write a blog. Finally.. A tick for Istanbul

I can't remember exactly how many years ago.. maybe 4 or 5, made a plan with Nadia to visit Istanbul. We wanted to explore and understand Turkish life not as a tourist but as a traveler or even better as local. But the plan got postponed year after year..  Finally, my time for Istanbul come earlier than Nadia, and December 2012 is month where i'm fated to be in the grand Blue Mosque, understand the history of Ayasofya, drink Turkish tea and enjoy Apple tea, and most importantly, make new turkish friends. So I was there with my sisters during winter season. What to expect other than windy days. And the colors are  so dull. I'm not black, white and brown kind of person. More of pink, yellow, orange, purple, blue, and green. Haha.. yes. bringht and bold. That's me.  Great, it was raining as we walk out from the Ataturk airport.
