Happy Weekend!

Image
Sunday is almost over. Sigh. But tomorrow is 10 Ramadhan. Meaning we've been fasting for 10 days and 20 more days to go for the celebration. While everyone is busy looking for new 'baju raya', me at home busy helping my sister baking.  This is her first trial to make chocolate chip cookies. Not bad for a beginner. And because of this cookies, I am available in the kitchen. Hahaha... if you knew me, kitchen is not my place. Same goes to cooking. I don't mind to cook but only for special occasion. I hope my future husband.. 'who ever you are'.. don't mind to eat out or eat at my mom's place most of the time or even better if he can cook. Haha... ****************** Iftar @ with Nadia I need a break from the kitchen. So I called Nadia and ask her out for Iftar (break-fast) together. We went to Pavillion because someone wants a make over... oppppsss... no, she need to buy some Bobbi Brown stuff.  What's new at Bobbi Brown? I defini

Salam Ramadhan

Weeee! Ramadhan is here again. I feel blessed and thankful for the opportunity to be able to enjoy Ramadhan once again. It is the fasting month for us, Muslims. Not just to refrain our self from eating and drinking during the day, we must also refrain our mind, body, soul and senses from all the bad stuff.  I'm going to be a good girl this month by not complaining too much. This is also one of the purpose of fasting. for us to appreciate what we have and feel how other people live without enough food. The best benefit of all is to be able to control my food in take but I missed my morning coffee! No worries, this is the sacrifice that we have to make in life.. Let's start small.  During this holy month, we are advised to make a lot of doa. Higher chances that our doa will be granted. Provided we need to be a good person 'in and out'.  I know God is listening to my prayers everyday and it is just the matter of time for it to happen. And if my prayers are not b

Breezy Brunch

I'm sure you have certain friends which you can tell them anything about you and you know they won't judge. When you are with them, you feel like you are being wrap with the most comfortable blanket. They will listen to your problems and comfort you with kind words. Your heart will heal faster then a thunder. ok.. maybe not.. hahaha...  But at least, you'll feel better after the therapy session, especially with good food and good friends. Here my brunch with beautiful people on a breezy Sunday -We talk, we laugh, we think and we share-  Baa, Me and Nadia  Adli, Me and Nadia Thanks to Abu for sharing your beautiful wife and brilliant and cute kids with us. Think!

Image
I have to write this now before it slipped out of my mind. While doing my work a few hours ago, I received a weird email from my counterpart asking for some information..... and somehow I don't understand his request. The 'english' and sentence looks fine. But I still don't understand his request and where to find the information. I was about to draft an email to my team member, just to see, if she actually knows the answer. Then while typing... this little boy words came across my mind..."kakak, think! you have to think and you will get the answer." Let me tell you w hat happened yesterday ...we were playing guessing game "where's the coin?". Adli will hide the coin and I will have to guess. In the end after so many wrong answers from me (hahaha.. I purposely give the wrong answers la..), he actually said that to me. Hahahaha... he is very cute and funny.  So, I actually emptied my mind and red the email properly... I red thru the whole c

Tonle Sap Lake

Image
So what else can can you do @ Siem Reap? You can visit Tonle Sap lake to see the floating village.  Let me tell you, this lake is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia.    But I have to say this is an expensive trip, tho,  this is a beautiful break from temples.  Sadly to say, it ended with mixed emotions.  Let me tell you why.... It was an eye opener trip at first. Very interesting to see a different lifestyle around floating village where people live on boat houses, to hear from the local people about  their  life and community, and what do they do for living. I learned from the young boatmen, he is learning 4 languages, English, Japanese, Korean and I can't remember one more. This is mainly because tourism is a good source of income to them.  However, the 'not very nice' experience has yet to come. We already paid US15 / per person for boat trip. The boat then bring us along the river to the "open water" as you can see in th

An afternoon @ Angkor Wat

Image
Why would people want to visit Angkor Wat? I didn't understand until I saw it with my own eyes.  The ancient architecture, turns out amazingly in the photos. I was mesmerized and the feeling was indescribable.  Now I understand the reason why my 'photographer' cousin wanted to come to this place so much. Sadly, she had to cancel her plan due to last minute job. It's ok dear.. there's always next time. Please invite me because I would love to spend more days appreciating this place. Or more like to be in your photos as your model. Haha... just kidding.  Here are some photos from hundreds of beautifully captured scenery. Siem Reap, I missed you.

Siem Reap

Image
Life is a beautiful mystery. Asian countries were not listed in my 'top 20 countries to visit before you die'. Who knows, now I am more open and travel with a different purpose. Without any expectation, I'm actually standing and looking at Cambodia flag!  So yes, I went to Siem Reap, Cambodia.  Weather was good.  No visa required. That's great! This place looks so calm. The airport is not that big.. slightly bigger than Koh Samui Arriving hall.  We are now at the hotel. The local people seems nice.  Soft-spoken kind of people . But there was a slight communication problem. Nothing major. Just some issue with the hotel booking. As long as we still have our rooms, then we are fine.  Lonely planet guides can never be lonely. Agenda for the day and next are roughly there. We just need to find out the way to execute our plans. Ok.. let's go out and explore the the town! Hmmm... I was not expecting to move around in tuk-tuk.
